On Friday November 19, 2021, Cave City School District is partnering with the Arkansas Department of Health to provide COVID-19 vaccines to students ages 5-11 years old. If you would like your child to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for this age group, please contact the Cave City Elementary Office or the Elementary Nurse's office as soon as possible. We need to have an estimate of how many students will receive the vaccine. When you call, please provide your child's name, and a vaccine consent packet will be sent home with your child. REMEMBER, only those students with completed paperwork will be allowed to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at the school immunization clinic.
Please also keep in mind that kindergarten students will be required to have a parent present with them on November 19th, in order to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

For any parents interested in getting a covid vaccination for their child, The Sharp County Health Unit will be administering covid vaccines at the Cave City Football Stadium Friday night where the Cavemen will host Trumann. It will also be Senior Night beginning at 6:30. The clinic will begin at 6:00 pm. Health unit personnel will administer the Pfizer vaccine to parent approved 5 - 11 year olds and may also have some vaccines available for 12 years old and up as well. The vaccine is free, but please bring your insurance card if you can.

Monday Covid Report. We were informed that an elementary student has tested positive today for covid. Her only probable close contacts are siblings in her home. We have an additional elementary case as well. These are the only two active cases in the district at this time.
Friday, Oct 29 from 9-11a.m. Cave City Middle School Students will be participating in our annual Health Career Fair. Cave City Graduates and community members in the medical field return to present their career to groups of students interested in learning more about that career. This is also a great opportunity to provide possible career options to students who are unsure of their career path.

Tuesday Covid Report. On Monday, we were informed that an elementary student tested positive for covid. His only probable close contact is a sibling in his home. Today we were informed of two elementary siblings that have also tested positive and also one additional high school student who was already in quarantine as a PCC to a positive case last week. We currently have eight active cases and ten students in quarantine.

We will give information on our new "Leader In Me" Program and ways parents can implement it at home. Students will perform & door prizes will be given away from local businesses in town.

Tuesday Covid Report—A HS student has tested positive since our last report. She was already quarantined in her home so there are no probable close contacts.

Thursday Covid Report—One HS student has tested positive since our last report. He has no probable close contacts.
This is a reminder that the Cave City School flu clinic is this Friday October 1st. Please make sure flu forms are completed and turned back in at school so that your child can get their flu shot.
Wednesday Covid Report—An Elem student , MS student, and HS student have tested positive since our last report. Eight additional students will need to quarantine as probable close contacts to these cases. We currently have 13 active cases and 25 in quarantine as PCCs.
Cave City School District Tuesday Covid Report—A MS student has tested positive since our last report. Three siblings in the home will need to quarantine as probable close contacts.
The flu vaccine clinic for Cave City School will be held next Friday, October 1st.
Forms for the clinic will be sent home on Monday. Parents, please be aware that there are two forms for you to complete for each child. To ensure your child can receive their vaccine, complete all information requested on each form. Return both of these forms to the School Nurse's office as soon as possible. Flu mist will not be available this year. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child's School Nurse.

We had one additional HS and one MS case reported today. We currently have 15 active cases and 23 students in quarantine as of this report.
