
CAVE CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT— With summer right around the corner, it’s time to think about
keeping children healthy while school is out. Cave City School District provides free meals to
children during the summer.
This summer, meals will be served at Cave City Elementary School Cafeteria on Monday - Friday
at 7:30 a.m. for Breakfast and at 11:30 a.m. for Lunch. There are no income requirements or
registration. Anyone age 18 or younger may come to eat.

local organizations like Cave City School District, to provide free meals to children when school

This is a friendly reminder that school will be closed tomorrow, April 7th. Our high school will host their awards night on the 17th and Academic Signing Day on the 19th. For more events and information, please get our District App in the App Store!

Student drivers will now be given the option to leave at 1:45. The storm is coming in earlier than previously expected

Cave City High School will dismiss students driving cars today at 2:10 with the understanding that they are to go home. Students are welcome to stay but those staying will not be allowed to leave in cars until the storm clears. At this time, busses may leave a few minutes early if necessary.

Our emergency services team will conduct a tornado siren test today, March 30th, at 4:00pm.

Cave City Schools will be closed again on Friday due to campus conditions and unsafe driving conditions on many of our country roads. We will make a decision tomorrow regarding the status of our Saturday games against Walnut Ridge.

No School on Thursday. AMI Day 6. Also, Tomorrows Sr high games at Harrisburg have been postponed until next week. Friday night’s Hall of Fame home games against Salem have been rescheduled for 6:00, Friday February 10th. A decision regarding Saturdays home games against Walnut Ridge will be made on Friday based upon parking lot conditions.

No school at Cave City Wednesday AMI Day 5

There will be no school at Cave City on Tuesday, January 31st. This will be AMI Day 4. Ballgames scheduled with Walnut Ridge have been moved to Saturday.

Cave City Schools will be closed on Monday, January 30th. This will be AMI day 3. Freezing fog and low temperatures are projected to make travel hazardous this morning. Another front may bring freezing rain this afternoon. We are currently under a winter weather advisory. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Cave City Schools will be in session on Friday. We encourage any parent who would like to keep their student home, due to safety concerns, to please do so if you are able to. Our bus drivers will be using their discretion in determining what parts of their routes are safe to travel. School will open at its normal time.

There will be no school at Cave City on Thursday. This will be AMI Day 2.

There will be no school at Cave City on Wednesday. This will be AMI day 1.

Tonight’s basketball games at Melbourne have been postponed due to the potential for inclement weather. We will make these games up on a future date to be determined.

After school care and after school tutoring are canceled for today. Our district is currently under a tornado watch and projections now show severe thunderstorms arriving earlier in the afternoon. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Due to potential bad weather tomorrow night, Friday night's Cave City vs. Harding Academy football game will now start at 6:00. We will celebrate Sr Night at 5:30 prior to the game.
