Cave City Schools has partnered with the Sharp Co Health Unit to provide flu vaccines on campus to students and staff on Friday, October 20th. Vaccine forms have been sent home with students. Parents, if you would like for your child to receive the vaccine, please complete and sign each part of both forms to ensure they can receive it. Friends. We want to let you know that we are making adjustments today on some of our afternoon bus routes. Mr. Farris (69) will also take home riders from Mr Alan Landers (77) route. Mr Ben Johnson (80) will also have riders from Brent Smiths (75) route. And Coach Reding (76) will have kids from the Simstown rd route (84). Please be aware of potentially later wait times this afternoon as we work to get these students home safely. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate those who might consider picking up any of these kids affected today if you are able.

Special education records for students who exited the program during the 2016-2017 school year will be destroyed on October 27, 2023. State and Federal guidelines dictate special education records be destroyed six years after the student leaves the special education or speech programs. Records can be picked up or reviewed by parents/student during August 10th between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at the Special Education Office on the Elementary campus. Last week Cave City Charter Schools were presented with two awards at the Arkansas Charter School Conference in Little Rock. Our High School Charter received the High School Elevate award for their test scores. Our Middle School Charter receive the Arkansas Charter School Trailblazer Awards which recognizes outstanding schools that are implementing innovative best practices and helping “blaze a trail” for charter schools across the State and Nation as they branch out and explore new strategies.

CAVE CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT— With summer right around the corner, it’s time to think about keeping children healthy while school is out. Cave City School District provides free meals to children during the summer. This summer, meals will be served at Cave City Elementary School Cafeteria on Monday - Friday at 7:30 a.m. for Breakfast and at 11:30 a.m. for Lunch. There are no income requirements or registration. Cave City High School will dismiss students driving cars today at 2:10 with the understanding that they are to go home. Students are welcome to stay but those staying will not be allowed to leave in cars until the storm clears. At this time, busses may leave a few minutes early if necessary.

Friday night’s Hall of Fame home games against Salem have been rescheduled for 6:00, Friday February 10th. A decision regarding Saturdays home games against Walnut Ridge will be made on Friday based upon parking lot conditions.
